Here are 2/3 questions that will be on the quiz after we watch the movie.
The 3rd question will not be seen until the actual quiz.
Note, this is the last chance to get any score before the final.

1. We are introduced to the lowest form of poverty in the movie.  Provide three examples of where we see this. (7)

2. The family continuously visit the local government for money and support.  Both the father and the mother were looked down upon before the leaders of the office for different reasons.  What were they? Explain. (8)

June 2nd

The Essay/Short answer Empire of the Sun is due next week Friday.

The Swimmer questions are due next week Tuesday.

April 17th

Book ten is available for pick up on Mr. Boyd's desk.  Book ten is your responsibility to read by Thursday.  Book 10 quiz will be on Friday.  We will only have two classes on this book.  The second quiz will be a little more than just comprehension.

For Monday,

We will have a quiz on Book 9.  You are responsible for reading to the end of the book.  Monday we will begin Book 10.  We will also begin discussing Catcher in the Rye on Tuesday!  Plan for a quiz sometime on Friday.
